Flash Mobile?
Power off your unlocked device and insert your Flash Mobile SIM card. (Mobile phones purchased from Movistar do not have to be unlocked.) Depending on your device, your SIM card could be located in one of two places:
b) Under the battery
Turn on your phone and wait until it recognizes the Flash Mobile cell network.
If it doesn’t recognize the network, restart your phone. If this does not work, it’s possible that your cell phone is not unlocked.
Call *555.
If you purchased a cell phone plan along with your SIM Card, type in your 4-digit PIN number and skip to Step 6 below to start using Flash Mobile!
If your SIM Card did not come with a plan or someone referred you to the network, type in their Brand Leader Number. If the person who referred you is not a Brand Leader, type in their Flash Mobile cell phone number instead.
Top up at least $50 MXN
You can also top up in our Mi Flash App or at more than 100,000 convenience stores and ATMs.
DONE! Your SIM Card has been activated successfully! You are now part of Flash Mobile! Now you can choose a Plan and set up your APN
To choose and activate your Plan dial *444# from your Flash Mobile number and pick option 1, then option 2
Configure your phone for data usage
Please select your phone’s operating system and follow the steps to surf the web with your Flash Mobile SIM:
CONFIGURE YOUR IPHONE FOR DATA USAGE
To begin using the Internet and cellular data, you must first configure your phone’s APN settings:
- 1. Ensure you are connected to a WiFi network
- 2. Go to apn.flashmobile.mx
- 3. Click “Install"
- 4. Click “Next”
- 5. Click “Install” again
Congratulations! Your cell phone is now configured on the Flash Mobile data network and you can surf freely.
CONFIGURE YOUR ANDROID PHONE FOR DATA USAGE
To begin using the Internet and cellular data, you must first configure your phone’s APN settings:
You should have received a configuration text message; if so, click “Install.” If the text message did not arrive, please follow these steps:
- 1. Click Apps, then “Settings”
- 2. Click “More Settings” or “Mobile Data” or “Mobile Networks”
- 3. Click “Access Point Names” or “APN”
- 4. Click “Add” (the + symbol) or “New APN”
- 5. Enter the following information:
- a) Name: Flash Mobile
- b) APN: internet.flashmobile.mx
- 6. Click “More” or “Menu” and then “Save”
- 7. Select Flash Mobile (the access point you just created)
Congratulations! Your cell phone is now configured on the Flash Mobile data network and you can surf freely.
CONFIGURE YOUR WINDOWS PHONE FOR DATA USAGE
To begin using the Internet and cellular data, you must first configure your phone’s APN settings:
- 1. Go to the “Settings” menu
- 2. Click on “Access Points”
- 3. Click “Add” (+)
- 4. Type in the following information:
- a) Name: Flash Mobile
- b) APN: internet.flashmobile.mx
- 5. Click “Save” (✓)
- 6. Select “Flash Mobile” (the access point you just created) and you’re ready to go!
Congratulations! Your cell phone is now configured on the Flash Mobile data network and you can surf freely.
